Paris Climate Deal: Donald Trump To Pull US From The Agreement
U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to withdraw the United States from the global agreement called Paris climate deal says a white house official.
The United States is the world’s second largest emitter of carbon dioxide following China and, so the former President Barack Obama with the hosts of other countries signed the climate change agreement in 2015 that aims to reduce global carbon emissions. Almost 200 countries are involved in reducing the emission of greenhouse gas in order to change the climate. But withdrawing would make U.S to align with Russia to combat climate change. Already Trump’s administration started to kill Obama climate regulation.
A formal announcement is expected to be released soon as Trump tweeted on Wednesday as “I will be announcing my decision on the Paris Accord over the next few days. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
As per the reports, the white house was making decisions to quit the agreement from the beginning of this month. And now, it is delayed until the G7 meeting in Sicily. But, America’s traditional allies and environmental groups continue to urge saying Trump to stay within the Paris deal and not to withdraw it. He also calls it as a hoax to weaken the industries in the United States. At the same time, Trump made his decision to quit this Paris accord after meeting Scott Pruitt, the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency as by thinking that the man-made climate is to be blamed for global warming.
The majority of the Americans are in favour of the Paris deal and has a bad impression about their government by addressing the climate issue. Most of the investors and business leaders including Apple, Google and Walmart advised him to stay in the deal. Even the fossil fuel companies like Exxon Mobil, BP and Shell say the US should abide by the deal.
The decision made by Trump on the Paris climate deal will be declared officially soon…
