Meet The $13 Million Sweptail Rolls Royce….
Rolls Royce- the name says enough about the product. Earlier, we have seen Ferrari 250 GT to hold this record, but Rolls Royce made Sweptail only for a single customer according to his demand.
Sweptail looks like the models from 1920s and 1930s, but fully customised to provide all the luxury to its owner. A super rich client in 2013 came to Rolls Royce and asked the company to build a one-off bespoke motor car with his idea. In 2017 we can the result Sweptail from the brand, which was unveiled in Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este on May 27, 2017.
“Sweptail is the automotive equivalent of Haute Couture,” says director of Rolls-Royce design Giles Taylor. The super-rich customer also participated in this whole process even selecting the cloth for the seats also was selected by him and was tailored only for Sweptail. Taylor also said: “You might say we cut the cloth for the suit of clothes that he will be judged by.”
The Sweptail is based on the same architecture of Rolls Royce Phantom coupe but the interior and exterior is totally changed according to its owner. Even it has a full glass roof with this old vintage look from front.
It took a several years for Taylor and his team of designers to bring this vision to life and making one of the finest cars of this era. “Our job was to guide, edit and finely hone the lines that would ultimately give our client this most perfect of Rolls Royces,” says Taylor director of Rolls Royce.
