Saif Ali Khan To Debut In Netflix’s First Indian Series “Sacred Games”
Netflix is one of the most in demand US- based website which is highly admired by Indians ever since it was introduced in India. Sacred Games is Netflix’s first Indian original series that is basically based on one of the popular novels by Vikram Chandra. And Said Ali Khan is all set to play the lead role of Sartaj Singh for this upcoming series sacred games.
The series will be aired in both Hindi and English languages. Sacred Games is a fascinating series that has a theme of crime, corruption, and politics in the city of Mumbai. The plot is apparently surrounded with exotic things and various aspects of Mumbai.
Saif recently said in a statement, “Content in the digital space is taking over the existing dynamics at the rapid pace- the crown in the digital empire lies with Netflix, and it’s extremely satisfying to partner and participates in the first original series from India to be showcased on Netflix.”
The Vice President of the original series at Netflix, Erik Barmack has expressed his excitement on working with Saif and said in a statement, “Saif Ali Khan is a true pioneer and risk-taker in Indian cinema, and we could not be more delighted to be working with him on ‘Sacred Games’. His role is layered and complex, and we are thrilled to be working with such a fantastic actor to bring this story to a global audience.” Saif Ali Khan is also a National award winning actor, who have also won awards for his performances in Bollywood movies such as ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘Omkara’.
‘Sacred Games’ will be co-produced with Anurag Basu’s Phantom films and the series would be streaming in more than 190 countries.
