1.) Nine Unknown Men

According to legend, the society of 9 Unknown Men was founded by Emperor Asoka himself, in 273 BC, after the bloody battle of Kalinga that took the lives of 100000 people. This sent the emperor to the state of grief and horror of war which made him convert to Buddhism. Each of the nine men was responsible for guarding a book of knowledge that are known to cover Propaganda, Psychological warfare, Microbiology, etc. They protect the methods of destruction and people believe that 9 Unknown Men still exist!

 

2.) The Cursed Village- Kuldhara

It is believed that one night the population of about 1500 residents in the village of Kuldhara for over 500 years disappeared. According to the theory, they left village as an act of solidarity with their chief, whose daughter as receiving an unwanted attention from the minister of Jaisalmer. When the minister issued the ultimatum to the residents of kuldhara, they decided to leave and cursed the village. Currently, Kuldhara remains a city of empty houses and buildings.

 

3.) Kongka La Pass- UFO Base

Due to its location in the Himalayas and being a disputed area, it is one of the most un-visited parts of India. Locals of the area have reported seeing strange crafts in the area, and triangular shaped objects flying in the sky. It is believed that it is an underground UFO base that is known to Indian authorities, still the researchers are not allowed here. It remained unexplained as neither country took an interest in exploring this area!

4.) Mass Bird Suicide

Jatinga is a small village in Assam, famous for the birds to flock there and commit suicides. Hundreds of migratory and local birds descend from the sky between 7 and 10 PM, dropping to deaths for mysterious reasons. Scientists are bewildered for many years and locals believe that evil spirits are haunting the area. This phenomenon has made Jatinga a creepy destination with an unsolved mystery till date.

 

5.) Stoneman

This is a title given to a serial killer who went uncontrolled on the streets of Bombay and then Calcutta at night which still remains an unexplained mystery till date. It could be one or more murderers that roam at night and select victims from the street-dwellers and rag pickers, whose head these Stoneman bashes using a huge stone rock. This case spread a mass rumour that murders are the work of some supernatural entity.

6.) The Immortal Beings Of Himalayas

Gyanganj is described as a city of shimmering crystals, and it’s being told that its occupants are immortals responsible for guiding the fate of the world. They protect and nurture the spiritual teachings of faith living in mystical kingdom. The place often lets in visitors to impart some of their wisdom with the outside world.

 

7.) Yeti

Locals and some explorers claimed of Yetis sightings in the Himalayan range. The Yeti is said to be a huge, hairy creature looking like a big monkey. Scientists concluded that it doesn’t belong to an ape’s family. The Abominable Snowman still haunts the snowy slopes of the Himalayas, leading to unexplained and mysterious questions.

8.) Lake Of Skeletons

It is one of the biggest mysteries with no explanation. The RoopKund Lake in Uttarakhand got the name of Skeleton Lake, in summer when the ice melted and skeletal remains were discovered. Some believe it is the remain of Japanese soldiers who died of exposure, whereas others believe it is the remains of a group of people that were wiped out after a sudden and violent hailstorm, and their dead bodied washed off into the lake.
