We thought of happiness- A CSR initiative by The Chocokart…
Most of us love chocolates and spreading love through them is the best way to present your feelings. Some underprivileged people don’t have the advantages like others. People often worry about underprivileged children who are living in poverty and may not have access to healthy food or good medical care.
The Chocokart decided to associate with the ‘Barefoot Dreams‘ which is an initiative by a group of college students, Sarvahitey, an NGO that thrives to be the bridge between the lack of opportunities and their ability to dream by providing a better education to the underprivileged kids. The joy and happiness of the taste of the chocolate make the children feel like ‘chocolate is a Heavenly Food’.
On 1st April we decided to have a Talk Happy Therapy & an interactive session with a few performances for the Kids at Gole Market. We as The Chocokart team circulated the overflowing boxes of Celebrations among the slum dwellers. The day was full of fun, music, dance and chocolates. This was the time when we laughed with an open heart with these beautiful children. Chocolates are like a happy pill for children. While they were mesmerised by the sweets, it automatically developed everybody’s urge to have more chocolates. At the end of the day, we realised that every person comes with a talent that only needs recognition. There may be lots of more kids than we realize that are talented. Not only the poor kids are less likely to nurture their talents but because of the situations they are less likely to push themselves forward.
The children in this jhuggi camp were so excited to talk to us; we danced together, played games, the constant smile on their faces while they had our chocolates and cupcakes. As chocolate is like a portion of life, some are crunchy; some are nutty, some are soft, but all are Delicious.
